Scholarship Overview
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Cognizant Foundation are proud to offer one-time, flexible financial assistance to outstanding students attending one of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs) within the TMCF 47 member-school network. Fifty (50) scholars will be selected to receive funding up to $1,000 for 2022-2023 academic school year. Selected students must be in good academic standing, but at risk of not returning or graduating from college due to an outstanding financial need and/or emergency situation that leads to a financial aid crisis.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior at a TMCF member-school during the 2022-2023 academic school year
- Preference given to students pursuing careers in technology and business; first-generation and transfer students encouraged to apply
- Current cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher
- Able to demonstrate a financial need
- Submitted the 2022-2023 FAFSA to your selected university/college
- Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
