Shaddae Findley

As a recent Prairie View A&M University graduate, I am elated and honored to say that I was selected to be a part of the Columbia University HBCU Initiative. I’m genuinely grateful to have been given this opportunity and aware this would not have been possible without the help of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund.

Thanks to your generosity, I have been given the opportunity to pursue my Master of Science in Enterprise Risk Management at an Ivy League institution. I have always had big dreams, but I must be honest, I continuously have to pinch myself to ensure this is real and I’m not just dreaming. As a motivated and driven young woman with big audacious goals; leaving my mark on the world is a must. Therefore, I can reassure you that I will be making the most of this opportunity and will not be taking anything for granted. With the chance to further my education, I’m excited to be equipping myself with the right tools, skills, and knowledge, so I can be a successful professional and asset to my community.

Thank you, Thurgood Marshall College Fund, for making this dream of mine a reality. If it were not for your kindness, attending Columbia University would have been far beyond my reach financially. I am grateful, thankful and extremely humbled, as you have put me miles closer to my goals. Once again, a big thank you, and I will continue to do my best to make you proud.
