The Leadership Institute (LI) is an exciting four-day leadership development conference, usually held annually in October, for college juniors, seniors, and graduate and law students attending HBCUs and PBIs. Exceptionally strong sophomores are also encouraged to apply. LI is for students who establish themselves as leaders, as well as students with leadership potential who want to build on their skill sets. Prior leadership roles in high school or college are preferred. However, a desire to develop personal leadership and professional advancement skills is required.

LI offers students the opportunity to develop and practice their leadership skills in areas that will contribute to the success of their personal, academic, and professional goals through a variety of interactive sessions and simulations with executives from Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. LI culminates with a recruitment fair with nearly 100 recruiters exposing students to employers where they compete for internships, full-time jobs, and continuing education opportunities.

LI also offers select students an opportunity to participate in corporate immersion experiences and specialized training sessions prior to the start of the conference.

The 2020 Leadership Institute will take place on October 14-18, 2020, in Washington, DC. If you have any questions about the process to attend the Leadership Institute, email talent@tmcf.org.

The 2020 Leadership Institute application will open soon. Check back periodically.
