About Cognizant Foundation 

The Cognizant Foundation works to inspire, educate and prepare people of all ages to succeed in the workforce of today and tomorrow. Since its founding in 2018, the foundation has partnered with more than 60 organizations working to ensure all communities are prepared for the jobs driving the future.

Scholarship Overview

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Cognizant Foundation are proud to offer academic financial assistance to outstanding students attending one of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs) within the TMCF 47 member-school network. Twenty (20) scholars will be selected to receive a fall 2022 need-based scholarship up to $10,000 for 2022-2023 academic school year, which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees.

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior at a TMCF member-school during the 2022-2023 academic school year
  • Preference given to students pursuing careers in technology and business; first-generation and transfer students encouraged to apply
  • Current cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher
  • Able to demonstrate a financial need
  • Submitted the 2022-2023 FAFSA to your selected institution
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551
