Scholarship Overview

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Palo Alto Networks are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Fourteen (14) scholars will be selected to receive a need-based scholarship of up to $10,000 for the 2024-2025 academic school year (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate or a graduate student at a public or private HBCU during the 2024-2025 academic school year. Preference will be given to both graduate school or undergraduate students entering either Junior or Senior year of study.
  • Open to designated majors:
    • STEM fields
    • Business

Please Note: Preference will be given to those applicants enrolled in Technology-related STEM or Business disciplines.

  • Current cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  • Able to demonstrate a financial need.
  • Must have the 2024-2025 FAFSA on file at your selected university/college by the time of selection.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.

All Applicants Must:

  • Answer the following statement (Video) (Maximum of 2 min per question):
    • Palo Alto Networks envisions a world where each day is safer and more secure than the one before. Tell us about your passions for cybersecurity or STEM and how you challenge the status quo to help make that vision a reality.
  • Follow up optional requirements for students after they are awarded.
    • Willing to submit photo and blog content to the company for internal and external purposes (likely 3 posts per year).
