Scholarship Overview

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), and Ford are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending one of TMCF’s member-schools that include 47 publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs). Eight (8) scholars will be selected to receive a fall need-based scholarship up to $5,000 for 2023-2024 academic school year (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate junior or senior for the 2023-2024 academic year at one of the following schools:
    • Alabama A&M University
    • Florida A& M University
    • Hampton University
    • Howard University
    • Jackson State University
    • Morgan State University
    • Norfolk State University
    • North Carolina Agriculture & Technical University
    • Prairie View A&M University
    • Southern University
    • Tennessee State University
    • Tuskegee University
    • University of the District of Columbia
    • University of Maryland, Eastern Shore
    • Virginia State University
  • Open to designated majors:
    • STEM or engineering or engineering related majors
  • Current cumulative grade point average of 2.7 or higher.
  • Able to demonstrate a financial need.
  • Submitted the 2023-2024 FAFSA to your selected university/college.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.
