As a recent Prairie View A&M University graduate, I am elated and honored to say that I was selected to be a part of the Columbia University HBCU Initiative. I’m genuinely grateful to have been given this opportunity and aware this would not have been possible without the help of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund.
Thanks to your generosity, I have been given the opportunity to pursue my Master of Science in Enterprise Risk Management at an Ivy League institution. I have always had big dreams, but I must be honest, I continuously have to pinch myself to ensure this is real and I’m not just dreaming. As a motivated and driven young woman with big audacious goals; leaving my mark on the world is a must. Therefore, I can reassure you that I will be making the most of this opportunity and will not be taking anything for granted. With the chance to further my education, I’m excited to be equipping myself with the right tools, skills, and knowledge, so I can be a successful professional and asset to my community.
