Scholarship Overview
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), and T-Mobile are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending one of the listed publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs). Sixteen (16) scholars will be selected to receive a scholarship up to $25,000 for 2021-2022 academic school year which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate or graduate student during the 2021-2022 academic school year.
- For Incoming Freshman – Provide proof of acceptance into or enrollment at a school listed below as an incoming freshman during the 2021-2022 academic school year.
- Must attend one of the the following schools during the 2021-2020 academic year:
- Clark Atlanta University
- Florida A&M University
- Hampton University
- Howard University
- Norfolk State University
- North Carolina A&T University
- North Carolina Central University
- Spelman University
- Tuskegee University
- Virginia State University
- Current cumulative grade point average:
- Undergraduate 3.0 or higher
- Graduate 3.75 or higher
- Open to the following majors:
- Business
- Computer Science
- Engineering
- Finance
- Human Resources
- IT
- Liberal arts
- Marketing
- MBA
- Able to demonstrate leadership abilities.
- Able to demonstrate a financial need.
- Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.
How to Apply
All Applicants Must:
- Provide a copy of the 2021-2022 FAFSA Student Aid Report.
- Provide the transcript (official or unofficial) for your most recently completed academic term-this should include your end of Fall 2020-2021 grades and cumulative GPA.
- For Incoming Freshman – Provide the high school transcript (official or unofficial) from your most recently completed academic term. This should include your Fall/ 2020-2021 and a cumulative GPA.
- Please provide an email address for one recommender to complete a character reference form. They will be required to answer three questions regarding your character reference.
- Answer the following statement (Hirevue) (1-2 minutes):
- T-Mobile believes that education is an investment in yourselves and allows you to make a difference in your community. How will your education benefit you, your family and your community.
