The Annual Presidential Summit on the Transformation of Historically Black Colleges and Universities is powered by Thurgood Marshall College Fund and the United Negro College Fund and organized through our partnership with the HBCU Transformation Project. The project’s primary goal is to launch a collaborative effort to drive tangible, long-term progress across HBCUs and ultimately boost the Black economy.

During the presidential summit each year, our distinguished group of HBCU leaders participate in one of the most important gatherings in higher education. We seek to bring together HBCU presidents partnering in the Transformation Project to learn, network, and develop transformational strategies.

The summit aims to improve outcomes at their institutions and collectively as a network. There are three objectives for the Presidential Summit:

1) position the HBCU Transformation Project as a critical foundation for network-wide improvement and transformation;

2) engage HBCU leadership in honest discussions on opportunities to maximize impact and

3) develop group commitments to engage in strategic, aligned, and reinforcing

shared activities.
