Greg began his career with Costco in 1985 as a cart attendant at the Inglewood, California location.  He quickly worked his way through several levels of management to attain the position of Warehouse Manager in 1993. Over the next 20 years, Greg managed the Costcos in Simi Valley, Hawthorne and Culver City, California. In 2013 Greg was promoted into buying as the General Merchandise Manager over Non-Foods and was made an Assistant Vice President in 2014. Greg then transitioned to oversee Foods and Sundries buying in February 2019, becoming a Vice President that same year. In May of 2022 Greg was promoted to Senior Vice President, General Manager of Costco’s Los Angeles Region. He has operational and buying responsibilities for 4 districts, 59 warehouses (in Los Angeles and Hawaii) and a regional office, in all, totaling over 22,000 employees.

Greg has worked on Costco’s Diversity and Inclusion efforts for years and is currently a chair on its Diversity Advisory Committee. Additionally, He is an advocate and member of Costco’s Journeys for ALL (initially a Professional Women’s group which recently opened membership to Costco employees of all genders).  Aside from Costco, Greg is a longtime supporter and the Golf Tournament Director for an annual charity event which benefits Caribbean Health Outreach, Inc. (a non-profit that promotes health and wellness in underserved areas of the Caribbean region).Greg was born and raised in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles and attended Cerritos Community College, local to the area. He and his wife Marsha have two adult children. Daughter Jazmyn received her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona, and Master’s degrees from California State University, Long Beach, and the University of Southern California. She works as a grants manager for the Physics, Mathematics and Astronomy division of CalTech University. Son Gregory III recently attained his bachelor’s degree in Business from California State University, Fullerton, and is also an employee of Costco.
