Program Overview

As a part of Alzheimer’s Association | TMCF Partnership, The Alzheimer’s Association will be identifying a total of 6 candidates for their Baltimore, Houston and Los Angeles chapters to participate in a year-long paid internship that will give scholars the opportunity to engage with their local chapters, community and campuses.

The Opportunity 

Diversity and Inclusion Intern:
This is a paid internship. We are seeking a dynamic, creative individual who is flexible and takes the initiative to get things done. The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Intern will be a member of the Program Department and will report to the Diversity & Inclusion Director or Program Director. The intern will assist in building collaborative and strategic organizational partnerships, and recruiting/ engaging diverse community leaders and volunteers. Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred. This position will be remote.

Diversity and Inclusion Health Systems Intern:
This is a paid internship. We are seeking a dynamic, creative individual who is flexible and takes the initiative to get things done. The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Intern will be a member of both the Program and Health Systems Departments and will report to the Health Systems Director. The intern will assist in building collaborative and strategic organizational partnerships, recruiting/ engaging diverse community leaders and volunteers within health systems
Bilingual communication in Spanish and English is preferred. This position will be remote.

OPEN TO ALL MAJORS with a specific interest in the following majors:

Public Health, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Nursing, Social Work, Political Science, Education Majors, Public Administration, Non-Profit Management, Public Policy, Business, Entrepreneurship and Journalism

Qualifications:

  • Students must attend one of the following schools:
    • Texas Southern University
    • Prairie View A & M
    • Meharry Medical College
    • Charles Drew University
    • Tennessee State University
    • Morgan State University
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Self Motivated
  • Strong written and oral skills in English with additional skills to communicate well in Spanish are preferred
  • Ability to navigate social platforms and collaboration technology
  • Volunteer Experience Preferred
