WASHINGTON, D.C. – Thurgood Marshall College Fund will host its latest leadership program, the DevCon Professional Development Conference presented by Medtronic, in Charlotte, North Carolina, from Wednesday, May 31, through Sunday, June 4.

Designed specifically to further equity and inclusion efforts by removing traditional barriers that prevent access to corporate opportunities, the Devcon Professional Development Conference presented by Medtronic utilizes a proprietary selection process and data analytics to identify students with leadership potential. This method expands reach and inclusion to talented students who are often overlooked due to traditional requirements such as GPA
.
The May 31-June 2 events will be held at the Marriott Charlotte City Center, and the June 3- 4 events will be held at the Charlotte Convention Center with influencers and celebrity guests.  The program uses a regional approach, allowing TMCF to deepen institutional partnerships through cooperative regional marketing efforts to enhance student outcomes. 

Featuring 200 students from Historically Black College and Universities from Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina, DevCon increases TMCF’s capacity to identify and develop high-potential talent. Leveraging an Early Talent (Freshmen & Sophomores) model, the program equips students with fundamental business skills and professional competencies through leadership development, career readiness, and targeted tech upskilling; while providing a pipeline of diverse talent to corporate hiring managers seeking to advance their Diversity, Equity & Inclusion goals.
