Scholarship Overview
Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), United Negro College Fund (UNCF), and INROADS are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students, attending one of the selected TMCF’s 53 publically-supported HBCUs majoring in STEM, business, and sustainability-related disciplines. Fifty (50) scholars will be selected to receive a fall need-based renewable scholarship up to $5,000 for 2024-2025 academic school year (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees). Scholarship recipients will have the ability to receive an additional up to $5,000 scholarship renewal for a second year, based on continued, positive academic standing.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate junior or senior at the following selected TMCF member-school during the 2024-2025 academic school year majoring in STEM, business, and sustainability-related disciplines:

- Scholarships are awarded based on need.
- Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.8
- Each scholarship recipient receives up to $10,000 over a two-year period.
- Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.
How to Apply
All Applicants Must:
- Answer the following statement (Video) (Maximum of 2 min):
- Please describe how the teachings within your current major could be used to positively affect sustainability projects within your community. If given the opportunity, would you like to work in a corporate environment that allows for connectivity between your major of study and the need for community resource and process improvements?

The deadline for this scholarship application has been extended beyond the original deadline. This application opens March 25, 2024 and closes May 17, 2024 (11:59 pm EST-Eastern Time).
