Scholarship Overview

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), and T-Mobile are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending selected Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs). Thirty seven (37) scholars will be selected to receive a fall need-based scholarship up to $7,500 for 2022-2023 academic school year which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees. Selected students must be in good academic standing, but at risk of not returning or graduating from college due to an outstanding financial need, and/or emergency situation that leads to a financial aid crisis. 

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior or senior at the schools listed below during the 2022-2023 academic school year.
    • Clark Atlanta University 
    • Florida A&M University
    • Hampton University
    • Howard University
    • Norfolk State University
    • North Carolina A&T University
    • North Carolina Central University
    • Spelman University
    • Tuskegee University
    • Virginia State University
  • Current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  • Able to demonstrate a financial need.
  • Submitted the 2022-2023 FAFSA to your selected university/college.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.
