Scholarship Overview
The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Cargill are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending one of TMCF’s member-schools that include 53 publicly-supported HBCUs, PBIs, medical and law schools. Twenty (20) scholars, attending TMCF member-schools that are 1890 historically Black land grant institutions, will be selected to receive a merit based scholarship up to $15,000 for the 2023-2024 academic school year (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees).
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate sophomore, junior or senior at one of the following 1890 land grant institutions;
- Alabama A&M University
- Alcorn State University
- Central State University
- Delaware State University
- Florida A&M University
- Fort Valley State university
- Kentucky State University
- Langston University
- Lincoln University of Pennsylvania
- Lincoln University of Missouri
- North Carolina A&T State University
- Prairie View A&M University
- South Carolina State University
- Southern University and A&M College
- Tennessee State University
- Tuskegee University
- University of Arkansas Pine Bluff
- University of Maryland Eastern Shore
- Virginia State University
- West Virginia State University
- Major: Agriculture or STEM disciplines
- Current cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher.
- Submit the 2023-2024 FAFSA to your selected university/college.
- Able to demonstrate a financial need.
- Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.
