Scholarship Overview

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and MassMutual are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending one of TMCF’s member-schools that include 53 publicly-supported HBCUs, HBCCs, PBIs, medical and law schools. Five (5) scholars will be selected to receive a 2-year renewable scholarship up to $16,000 for 2024-2025 academic school year (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be enrolled full-time as a junior at a TMCF member-school during the 2024-2025 academic school year.
  • Must be pursuing a degree in math, statistics, actuarial science, economics, finance, liberal arts, cyber security, computer science, data science, engineering, physics, and business.
  • Current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  • Be able to demonstrate an unmet financial need.
  • Must have the 2024-2025 FAFSA on file at your selected university/college by the time of selection.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.
  • Cannot be an employee, officer, consultant/service provider to or board member of Partner or TMCF or a family member of any such individual.
