The greatest piece of advice that I received throughout my career is, “It’s going to be OK”. Although, that’s a very simple piece of advice it’s very crucial especially for a young professional that’s just starting out in their career. You can easily get overwhelmed because it’s a big transition coming from college to corporate America. So, if you take the time, pause and remember that it’s “OK” you’ll be able to be more focused and purposeful as you continue with your day-to-day work.

Success is when opportunity meetings preparation. A great quote by Will Smith is, “if you always stay ready you never have to get ready”. So, when you are consistently prepared and you’re ready to go — be it your elevator speech — be it books that you’ve read — be it knowledge that you’ve gained; you’ll never have to get ready once the opportunity is presented to you.
