“I am a reflection of Justice Thurgood Marshall because… I was fortunate enough to attend the Leadership Institute in 2013 and share my journey as a student, student-leader, and care-taker of my late father. This experience gave me the opportunity to promote awareness of Alzheimer’s disease from a student-caretaker’s perspective, but also gave me a platform to encourage my peers to never allow adversity or unfavorable circumstances to hinder their dreams. ”

If it wasn’t for TMCF…I would not have been able to meet other like-minded young people from around the country and create professional networks that will last a lifetime. Also, having the opportunity to interview with multiple companies gave me options after graduation that I had not considered prior to attending. The TMCF Leadership Institute showed me how I could use my education and experiences to build a rewarding future in any career I choose. Because of TMCF, I was able to pay homage to my late father, the man that inspired me the most, and to use our story of sacrifice and resiliency to inspire and encourage others.”
