If it weren’t for TMCF… I would not have known a world existed outside of the greater Washington-Baltimore Metropolitan area. TMCF gave me the opportunity to study abroad in China, which allowed me to immerse myself in a culture very different from my own. I left China with incredible experiences and met new friends. TMCF expanded my mind to not only want to travel, but learn more about various cultures.
I am a reflection of Justice Thurgood Marshall… because I embrace and advocate for the expansion of African Americans to study abroad. It will give [African American] students the opportunity to not only see a different world, but to be part of one. I wouldn’t know how to pave the way for the next generation of Global leaders who look just like me.
