Benefits of Investing in a TMCF Program

Access to Highly Qualified and Diverse Talent

Utilizing a strength-based approach that ensures candidates with the highest potential are identified and our wealth of experience in diverse talent identification, employers enjoy greater access to highly qualified individuals.

A Pipeline of Talent

We create a unique opportunity for college students and employers to co-invest in the future. Students gain valuable experience that help them in future careers, while employers get the opportunity to open doors and to work with leaders of tomorrow that can transition into their workforce.

Brand Exposure

We help expose the employer brand amongst a new audience and help tell the story about what makes the employer unique or stand out to students who are looking for jobs. Positive employer branding helps to attract potential candidates and retain quality employees, who are crucial to the success and growth of the business. Employers receive brand exposure to the student population via workshops, immersions, and networking events.

Leadership Institute

The Leadership Institute (LI) is an exciting four-day leadership development conference, usually held annually in October, for college juniors, seniors, and graduate and law students attending HBCUs and PBIs. LI is for students who establish themselves as leaders, as well as students with leadership potential who want to build on their skill sets.

LI offers students the opportunity to develop and practice their leadership skills in areas that will contribute to the success of their personal, academic, and professional goals through a variety of interactive sessions and simulations with executives from Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. LI culminates with a recruitment fair with nearly 100 recruiters exposing students to employers where they compete for internships, full-time jobs, and continuing education opportunities.

K-12 Teaching Pipeline

Teacher Quality & Retention Program

Our Teacher Quality & Retention Program proactively addresses and positively impacts the needs of teachers that will make significant contributions to the local and national K-12 education pipeline. To build a pipeline of college-ready students, the program has trained nearly 300 classroom teachers, who impact more than 30,000 K-12 students each year. TQRP provides high-quality, pre-service training, as well as personalized support once teachers enter into the classroom. TQRP also offers an intense two-week Summer Institute to develop sound pedagogy, discuss and demonstrate research-based educational practices, and analyze current educational policy – all with the goal of developing the skills of future teacher leaders.

I was fortunate enough to have been selected as one of the hosts of the 2021 Leadership Institute. By taking on this leadership role, I could step out of my comfort zone. Unequivocally,
