The National Pan-Hellenic Council of Rocky Mount recently sponsored a Financial Aid Seminar at Braswell Memorial Library.
The seminar was presented by Ray Battle, general manager of the Tar River Consumer Group LLC. He provided students and their parents or guardians with information on how, when and where to look for financial assistance for college.
Additional financial tips were provided by Joyce Payne, founder of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, and Leah Hill, associate director of financial aid at N.C. Wesleyan College.
During the session, light refreshments were provided. Battle was presented a gift card and a Certificate of Appreciation for his long-time support of the council by local chapter President Malcolm Logan.
